Mr. Dwight A. Isaacson, 88, of Milledgeville, Illinois, died Monday morning, August 10, 2015, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, Illinois.

Dwight Albert Isaacson was born June 1, 1927, in North Branch, Minnesota, to John Albert and Ruth Victoria (Hoglund) Isaacson.  He attended Christian High School in Chicago, Illinois.  Dwight served in the Merchant Marine during World War II as a 3rd Engine Officer.  He was united in marriage to Lois Joyce Peterson on July 17, 1948 at Moody Memorial Church in Chicago, Illinois.  The couple resided and raised their family in Skokie and Park Ridge, Illinois, and later Dodgeville, Wisconsin, returning to Northern Illinois in 1980.  Dwight worked for many years in the dairy and real estate industries.

He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ dearly and faithfully attended Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, Illinois.  Dwight was a member of Milledgeville American Legion Duggar Post #553 and American Merchant Marine Veterans of World War II.  He was actively involved in his church wherever he lived, teaching Sunday school and serving on various boards.  Dwight read his Bible daily, cover to cover many times during his life.   His God and family were his priority.

Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Joyce; sons, Ken Isaacson of Chadwick, Illinois, Don Isaacson of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and John (Donna) Isaacson of Green Oaks, Illinois; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Lucretia) Isaacson of South Carolina.

Preceding Dwight in death were daughters, Karen and Carol, his parents and a sister, Jane Isaacson.

The family will receive friends at Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, from 10:00 until the service hour of 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22.  Pastor Dalmus Meeks will officiate.  Military rites will follow.  Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery, Milledgeville, Illinois.
