Doris Bernice Witt

Doris Bernice Witt, 58 of Long Grove, Iowa, died peacefully Sunday evening, February 26, 2017, in her home.

She was born June 20, 1958, in DeWitt to John and Delores Witt.  Doris was a 1978 graduate of North Scott High School.  She resided at rural Long Grove where she raised her family. Doris was also employed as a caregiver for Comfort Care until her illness.  She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and time spent with her grand kids.

Surviving are children, Sabrina Witt  and Casey (Amber) LeBarge of Davenport and Amanda (Nick Gill) LeBarge of Long Grove; grandchildren, Amber Box, Kollin LeBarge, Nichlas Gill, Jr., Riley Gill, Wyatt Gill, Seth Goodwin, Caleb Goodwin, Samantha Hathaway, Atubrianna Hathaway, and Alyssa Boese; a sister, Brendia (Sonny) Kempf of Long Grove  and special friend, Quentin T. Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until a service at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017.
