My deepest condolences to Russ's children, Grandchildren and many brothers and sisters. Many fond memories of riding bicycles thru Grand Mound with Russ and pretending they were trucks and we go over to the Grain Mill and back of bikes up to the loading dock and pretend we were loading the trailers of which grain. I remember one summer's day that Russell's father pulling a truck into their backyard with a whole load of watermelon, we enjoyed watermelon and till we were absolutely stuffed. What an amazing man he turned into. My deepest sympathy to the Galloway family and the children, grandchildren may the good Lord be with you and bless you all.

At times like this, there are no words that soften the pain, but I pray that your spirits will be touch by the love that surrounds you as a family, and slowly may the healing begin.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Seemed no matter what shape of car he bought, by time he got done it was pretty much the dream hot rod every kid in town. Glad to hear he had such a full an happy life. He deserved it. My sympathy to his family an friends.

I was one of the many cousins gathered at Grandma Riggs's tiny home on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Although I did not have the opportunity to get to know the Galloway cousins as well as I would have liked, it was obvious that they knew how to have a good time whatever they did. My thoughts are with all of Russ's family at this time. With sympathy, Victoria Riggs (probably better-known as Evelyn's daughter, Vickie).

Jim, Al, Roger and to all of the Galloway family. I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Russ (a/k/a "Fagger" from way back when!!). Many years have passed since I have seen Russ, however when I view his picture, it brings back many memories which I treasure. So many good times and laughs in the late 50's and 60's never to be forgotten. Russ was a part of many of them. To each of you, I am hoping that your many memories of Russ will be a continuing part of your life as you grieve his passing and find comfort in knowing Russ was a great friend to us all. Take care and best wishes to all.

Russ was truly a friend back in the 60's when we hauled milk and raced stock cars. He was a great pit man ...made the old junkers run. We really had some great times...always sad to hear a friend has passed .

My deep heartfelt sympathy to the family and the many friends of Russ. I did not know him for a long period of time. But my impression of him is confirmed by all I speak to who knew him well. He was a vibrant, active, fun loving man with a great sense of humor and a ready smile. I know he will be missed by all, but we can rest assured he is happy in paradise with the love of his life, Marilyn. If there is a golf course in heaven I am sure they enjoying a round together. With respect, Pastor Denise

Junior high through high school years Russ and I experienced a lot of adventures. We were kind of like Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn except with bikes and later cars and more adventures than they had. We really enjoyed those years even while they were happening not just looking back. HOW MANY: miles did we put on our bikes: miles on our cars going nowhere: snowballs did we throw: apples and peaches did we eat and all free: firecrackers lit: baseball games and workup did we play: stop signs did we leave rubber: times did we try to bury the peg: times did we have our licenses suspended: cars did we hop in winter: drag races north of GM and De Witt. There are 2 answers to these questions. Either a lot or too many. Russ just like his brother Dwaine before him will be greatly missed by all. People just enjoyed being around them. Something will be missing in GM. Russ Fey

Marilyn and Russ, how I loved those two gentle souls. No doubt in my mind his tender heart was broken when Marilyn left us, now he is with the love of his life. Everyday I could count the time of day when Russ would drive down Sunnyside Street in his red pickup or as we called it, the Sunny side of the street. Always a wave, a smile, or he would stop to whistle in the wind. Our grief is deep yet know we shall see each other again. Your eyes have seen God.

My deepest sympathy to all the family. Although I only knew Russ a short time, I learned quickly what a great guy he was. I met Russ and Marilyn in 2016 at their "Snowbird" home in Mission TX. We played many rounds of golf and had lots of conversations. Russ was famous for his special bloody marys at the happy hours they hosted almost daily for friends. I made my reservation for a 2017 trip to Mission before leaving that year primarily because I enjoyed his friendship so much. We talked a few times during the year after we left Mission. I remember how shocked and sad I was when he called to tell me about Marilyn's passing. This year it was hard for Russ to be in Mission without Marilyn. He shared lots of wonderful thoughts and memories about her with me. I was fortunate to have recently spent almost 2 months with him. We played several golf courses, enjoyed meals together, and of course, the happy hours were always a highlight of the day. My dog Molly loved Russ for the crackers and cheese he shared with her at every happy hour. She always tugged at her leash to go up his drive every time we passed it on our walks. When I visit Mission TX again, it will not be the same without him. As hard as this is for everyone who knew and loved him, like the family, I am comforted knowing he is enjoying being with Marilyn now.
