Sue, Megan, and Joey -
I am very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Mom told me recently. I remember all the basketball games he officiated when I was playing and taking me home after babysitting, those were some good times.

My sympathies,

Kim Cook

What a beautiful video montage... I'm sorry I can't be there, but certainly am in heart and spirit. I loved seeing all the photos. So many wonderful memories, and especially great trips to Maine, and awesome time spent with Al, Marilyn and family.
Happy Birthday Ken.

Deepest condolences to Sue and family. I remember your Dad, Mom, Sister and Brother on a trip made to Iowa by my family when I was a freshman in High School. After I married Dick and we had our children we brought them up to Iowa to meet the Meier side. I am so blessed that we did that. You will be missed more than one can know. However, we will see each other again in Heaven.

November 28, 2016 10:57 PM

Dear Sue, Megan, and Joe... Ken was a "gentle giant". Although his heart was physically flawed, it was perfect in giving and receiving love! He always had a smile, a kind word/ gesture, or time to help everyone! I always loved watching him relate to his family and fellow parishioners at church! I don't know how I would have gotten through my dad's transition from independence to a nursing home last Jan. without Ken's patient, professional advice on managing the expenses. And then, several months later, he and Sue and Megan all drove 150 miles round trip to visit Dad! I just can't believe that this so recently vibrant, full-of-life man is gone. He gave so much to so many. I can't imagine the huge void you, his family, must feel... Gary and I are so very sorry and are wrapping our prayer arms around you all... Becky

Dear Sue and Family,
So many thoughts and memories of Ken as we were growing up...he always made us laugh, even when we didn't want to!!!
May you feel the love extended to you across the miles and may you know that we loved him and you. Looking forward to sweet reunions in heaven, another Meier gathering there!!
The Bible says, "I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly" John 10:10. Ken had life and shared it abundantly with those he loved, for which I am grateful.
In sympathy, Bob and Sherryl

My sincerest and deepest condolences to Sue, Megan, Joe and the remainder of our family in regards to the passing of Ken. He was (and will remain a fantastic memory) of our family through all of the good times and not so good times. Being the "brother" growing up I never had cousin Ken was that person to me. Many growing up memories along with our more in depth conversations we have had in the most recent years, he will be greatly missed however never to be forgotten. Thanks to GOD for the opportunity to celebrate Ken's life as we mourn and grieve his going home eternally.
