What a joy Teresa brought to the world about her. A friend and mentor to many, we in central Illinois are richer for her years of teaching. Her warm smile will be remembered and her kind words of encouragement.

Teresa McDermott was the best gift Illinois received from Iowa!! She was an excellent nurse, instructor, mentor and friend. Her students loved her. She was smart, fun and thoughtful. One of our many happy memories was our "Golf and Gourmet Club." It consisted of Catherine, Harriet, Jean, Teresa and me. We drove to Williamsville twice a week for 8-10 weeks for the golf lesson after which we went out to eat at a different place each time. Of course Teresa was already a good golfer, but she had a lot of patience with the rest of us!! She has now joined the others at the Eternal Golf Course. Teresa will always be remembered as a special person, a true and dear friend to me and my family and also many others whose lives she has touched. Our deepest condolences to her entire family. We are so sorry for our loss. I have been with you in thought and prayer the past few days and am sorry that I was not able to be with you in person. A special thank you to her neices and nephews for the care when she needed you. She was so proud of you. Until we meet again, Teresa. Love you!
