Sue and Jeff ~ So sorry for your loss. Roger was an awesome man, and a very good friend to my dad, Virtus. They spent so many years together during their time at Iowa Electric. Roger's characteristics, and mannerisms, reminded me so much of dad, it took all I had not to hug Roger every time I saw him! Rest in peace Roger, and take care of my dad. Your friendship now continues on.

My sympathies to Sue, Jeff and the rest of the family. I have many fond memories as a kid of time spent with the Wellers. Roger was someone to look up to and kind of an idol as a kid learning to shoot a bow. Looking back I was lucky to get to spend time with my parents , the Wellers and the other Dewitt bowmen. My thoughts and prayers are with you .

Sue and family: Was very saddened to hear of Rogers passing. The hunting brotherhood has suffered a great loss. Roger was one the pioneers of bowhunting. One of the first in Iowa to knock down a trophy whitetail buck. His legacy will live on for sure.

When it came to wood burning, deer hunting, game cooking, no one could do it better. Most everyone tried to emulate his hunting prowess. On top of that, Roger was a good man, honest and trustworthy to the bone. Everyone liked Roger except the big bucks hanging on his wall.

I have only good to say about Roger and most everyone would agree. Great man great person, really tough to know he is gone. We still have all the good memories so we'll focus on those through these tough times. The community and hunting world have lost a great contributor. You have my deepest heart felt sympathies.
