I am so sorry to hear of Lori's passing. She gave me the best haircut of my life in 2nd grade, it was the perfect mullet, seriously. I had many other haircuts from her growing up but I remember that day like yesterday. She always was so kind and warm. It was a pleasure to know her and I have faith her kind spirit will live on through her loved ones.

Vera, I am sorry to learn of the passing of your granddaughter. Although I didn't know her or her family, I did remember your name from all those years in Grand Mound. With Mom and Dad (Dorothy and Duwane Garlough) gone for many years, it was nice to see a familiar name from when they enjoyed your wonderful means and the great company of you and Clarance. My thoughts go out to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Barb (Garlough) Joseph

Sorry for your loss. Now I know why the constant walkathons we have here in NYC are so important. We must fight to end this horrible disease once and for all. It's sad that Lori didn't survive the fight, and I hope you find some solace that she is no longer suffering.

Our most heartfelt thoughts, hugs and prayers go out to all of Lori's family. I don't think I have ever had the priviledge of knowing such a wonderful person as Lori, who ALWAYS had such a possitive outlook on everything. Even when she was faced with so many negatives, she was such an inspiration to all of us with her great outlook on life. Lori, you will be greatly missed and thanks for being a friend with our family. God Bless You All.

I have never met someone with such a zest for life in the face of such hardship. Her attitude never waivered-she was always upbeat and cracking jokes. You never left a conversation with Lori feeling sorry for her...you always left feeling envious of her determination and strength. I always enjoyed having a conversation with her, because I always knew she was going to leave me laughing. May she rest in peace now that she is free of pain and the strength she carried in life, be passed on to her friends and family in her death, and may she know how much of an impact she had in this world. Our sympathy to you all during this difficult time.
