I had hoped to get home again so that I could take you to lunch my friend. Our last outing was something that I will always remember. You and your family gave me some of my best memories. You, Diana, and Marion will always be special to me. God speed to your reward in heaven.

Condolences to the Depover family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.

I met Larry when he visited the Buffalo Bill Museum in LeClaire and played Buffalo Bill. He donated several items to the museum. He was a nice man and always ready to talk a little history. I am so sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Larry was always a friendly face ready to share in conversation. I like to think of our chats as educational, as one of us was always learning something new. He would come over to share a family meal on my weekends home from college, holidays, birthdays, and supported me from the front pew at my wedding. Everything is going to be a little different now, but he once told me not to fear change. I'm grateful for the time I was able to spend with him, and I know that his spirit will live on in the memories he's left with all of us.

We were so sorry to hear of Larry passing. I met Larry many years ago while researching local history projects. In our conversations , he learned I was a turtle figurine collector and over the years he would bring me turtles for my collection, almost monthly. If we weren't home he would leave them on the porch and call later. I will miss our visits, he was a very sweet and caring man and very knowledgeable about local history.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Larry Joe. Though we had not been in contact for a good number of years, he was thought of often. Loosing a family member is always hard. I remember him and Marion visiting the farm when my grandparents (ED and Esther DePover) and my parents (Gilbert & Lillian DePover) were still alive and going snow skiing down the driveway with them and our dog. Fond memories that we cherish.

I met Larry DePover while working for CASI in the 90's. His brother Danny was my uncle. He was a wonderful man and very involved in whatever he did. He will be dearly missed.

Larry was a good friend and classmate. I considered him family as his brother married my sister. We have nieces and nephews in common. I saw him last at McCausland at the ballpark. He will be missed. We had fun days at Lindsey Park in our growing up years.

Uncle Larry loved playing Buffalo Bill Cody at events and parades in LeClaire and McCausland, IA. He was great at the Cody Homestead event and stayed in character with his buckskin jacket and hat. We really loved him. When he called to visit, we knew to settle in a comfortable chair because he usually had a lot to say. He will be missed greatly.
