My heart is heavy with sadness for you girls and what you have lost. You three were and are the best and the brightest legacy Janet has left behind. Seeing you, hugging you and talking with each of you I see and hear so much of your mom in you. Your memories will hopefully ease the pain as time goes on. She was one wonderful friend and truly one of God's gentle earthly angels to many.

Please accept my sincere and deepest sympathy in your profound loss. Your Mom literally saved my life when I was her neighbor and friend. I was going through a very difficult time, and she was the angel that kept me going. She lifted me up, when I couldn't do that for myself. There was such a radiance around her, an aura. I recognized that shortly after we met. And I truly believe it was the light of Jesus, shining in and through her. I am convinced that there are people on this earth that God uses as His instruments to not only help others, but to be a living example of "walking in love". Your Mom was one of those select few. Through her, God has helped and shaped so many of us. She was His right hand and through her, He has touched and lifted us up, when we needed it most. She was the one who brought me back to God, after I had drifted away. Not by preaching or telling me "I should", but by her gentle, loving way that she conducted her life. And by her reminding me that God hasn't given up on me. She knew how much I needed to hear that. I will never be able to express the true blessing she was in my life, and continues to be. I have such wonderful memories of our shopping excursions to Clinton. Oh how we would laugh and have fun. But we also cried together, too. One of her greatest gifts was when we were in pain, she felt it right along with us, and what a comfort that was. My heart is broken, but I know that she is with Jesus now and is finally pain free. I will continue to hold all of you in my heart and keep you in my prayers. May God go with you all.

To Janet's family I worked with Janet at the Referral Center for years, and we always had a good time going through things that were brought in to the center. I would pick her up different times when she didn't have a car or her car wasn't working, and she always appreciated that. I thought a lot of her and always considered her a good friend. She was a kind person and will be missed. Rest in Peace Janet, and know that you were loved.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of such a wonderful woman. I lived in Dewitt and would visit one of her neighbors a lot, so I knew her and of her kind heart. I will always remember her for her smile, her kind words, and that she would make a meal and would give some to her neighbor (the one that I would visit). Her neighbor always appreciated it and I always thought that this was a very kind gesture from a neighbor. My thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by many people. Again, I am so sorry to hear of her loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. The Bible makes this comforting promise: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted, he saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) It also assures us: "Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you." (Psalm 55:22) May these thoughts bring you a measure of comfort at this difficult time.

I can't find the words to express my sorrow for Janet's family. She had her problems but she was a generous person. She would give you her last dollar if you needed it. I have fond memories of working with her at the Referral Center. She was so appreciative of everything anyone gave her. We lost track after she left the Center but I thought of her a lot. Her girls can be sure she loved them very much and talked about them all the time. My prayers go out to her family. RIP my friend

Thank you Dianne. Mom's days at the referral center brought her so much joy. We all know how much she loved helping others, and the referral center was her avenue to do so. It was also her opportunity to visit with so many old friends and make new ones. She enjoyed working with all of you so much!

I am so sorry to Janet's daughters for the loss of your Mom. She was such a special lady and will forever be in my heart. I have never met someone who was so giving. She was always there for everyone and tho she had struggles, would always give anything she had if she thought someone else needed it more, even if it meant she would do without. She was such a good friend to me......I struggle right now because I let way too much time pass without visiting her. I hope she knew how much I loved her. She had such a strong Faith in God.......I have no question in my mind that she is resting peacefully in Heaven.
