Dear Rita and families. HOw sorry I am to finally hear of Ernies passing. I have missed our Ox Bow Friends so much. My paryers are with your family. This weekend July7-10 is the 20h anniversary of the Grand Encampment. All of our Wagon Train friends that are no longer with us anymore will be remembered at the Sunday service at the Kanesville Tabernacle, Council Bluffs, Iowa. Rip Ernie, I know you are up there having a good old time and will be with us and our friends that have passed this weekend as we celebrate 20 years and will be thinking about you. So sorry to hear of his passing; from a kid on I learned a lot about horses from him that he was so eager to share. His favorite saying to me was I sent you to school and bought you your books and you still bought an Appy.
We had company here this weekend from up north and Ernie's name came up and the stories started. and now to learn he has passed. He was always well thought of and often.

Rita and Family so sorry for your loss I will so remember Ernie with all the Horse shoeing that he did for me and when he would get so upset with Becky Spooners horse when he was not behaving he would call him a cotton picker I can still hear him saying that. I will sure miss him and remember the good times.

I wish I could be there. My condolences, prayers and love to Aunt Rita, Brad, Jim, Pam, Rhonda and all the rest of the kids (his grand kids) I will miss you Uncle Banjo you always had wonderful stories. Rita, Rhonda, and Pam. I am so sorry to hear about Ernie. He taught me a lot and always had a good time going and shoeing horses with him. He could also put away the diet pepsi!
