Deb....Very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Came as a shock to hear the bad news. Just way too soon to leave this earth. Hadn't talked with You or Dave for many years. But do know, I always really liked both of you.
I'm typing these words thinking about your journey through life with Dave. You have many great memory's to hold on to. Keep those memories at the top of your thoughts. For those are what really matter and will get you through these tough times.
Recognize a lot of names up and down the list from the class of 69. So many people liked Dave and you too of course. You will be in my thoughts along with may others thinking about you. You have my deepest and heart felt sympathy.

I send you my sympathy and love as I read about David's passing in the Quad City Times online. We now live in Florida.
Bruce Anderson was my first cousin. His Mother, Aunt Ida and my Mother, Ruth Melchert were sisters. For many years, we hosted the family Thanksgiving in Clinton for the Hayes sisters. It was always fun to get together and I remember Bruce and Lois and "the boys" sharing those celebrations.
I am sorry we have lost touch as Bruce - and Lois - and Aunt Ida and Uncle Harold were always favorites. I was very touched by the video and saw many familiar faces while viewing David's life story. It certainly was a life well lived and over much too soon.
I send you my prayers and love.

All I can see is his hair flying back during Bix races while he ran, just as his hair was probably blowing as the angels came to greet him. . He was always the highlight of the Bix race for me. He will be so missed by all. Forty-some years is a long time to share holidays, parties and share our God daughter and not consider Dave a brother who will be dearly missed. Love and condolences to Debbie, Sarah & Jeff, Matt, Steve and Kathy, Jay and Cathy Sue, kids and grands. Thanks for all the fun times Dave!! You fought the good fight....you finished the race... now rest in the peace as the angels run you back home to heaven where we will one day meet again.
