Bill Lange, 74, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, August 2, 2024, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.
William Lee Lange was born June 24, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, to Merle and Kathleen (Strodtman) Lange. He graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt in 1967. Bill married Darlene Kainz on March 7, 1970, at the DeWitt United Methodist Church. The couple resided in DeWitt, where Bill worked for Ennis Business Forms until 1997, when he transferred to Georgia. Bill retired from Ennis and the couple later moved to Florida in 2018. They moved back to DeWitt in 2023. Dar preceded him in death on February 24, 2024.
Bill enjoyed golf, his many dogs, and watching his crime shows.
He is survived by his sons, Bill (Theresa) of Ocala, Florida, and Chris (Amy) of DeWitt; granddaughters, Brooke, Mason, and Reagan, and grandson, Michael; great-granddaughter, Sophia; siblings, Kathleen Kilburg of Bellevue, and Lori Manning of Clinton; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Melvin.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Bill and Dar on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Springbrook Country Club from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
