Tim “Mole” Hansen, 71, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Friday, September 29, 2023, at Fieldstone of DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Schultz Funeral Home in Grand Mound. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Mound. Sister Janet Heiar, SSND officiating.
Timothy Peter “Mole” Hansen was born June 17, 1952, and became a part of Thomas and Theresa (Reuter) Hansen’s family when he was 5 weeks old. Mole attended St. Joseph Catholic School, and graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt in 1971. He worked as an auto mechanic at Bauer Repair for many years. Tim married Bonnie Rock on September 9, 1992, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple resided in DeWitt, and enjoyed 31 years of marriage.
Tim was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, NASCAR, and drag racing. He also enjoyed classic cars, and motorcycles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; his mother, Theresa Hansen of DeWitt; a sister, Mona (Carl) Clapp of Camanche, foster brother, Charles Geske of Victorville, California; brother-in-law, Stanley (Marjorie) Rock of Grand Mound; nieces and nephews, Thomas and William Clapp, Sarah (fiancé, Mike Dirks) Heister, William (Katie) Rock, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Decker; and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas, his foster brother, Stanley Opala, and his in-laws, Clarence and Ruth Rock.
