Teresa Ann Trimble

Teresa Ann Trimble, 81, formally of DeWitt, Iowa, died October 4th 2018, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus in Davenport.

Teresa was born November 8th 1936, to Thomas Patrick and Mary Isabelle (McDonnell) Trimble on the farm near Villa Nova in rural Clinton County, Iowa. She cherished the familial benefits of ten brothers and one sister. At age 14 she entered an all girl’s Catholic high school in Clinton, Iowa. She embarked on her career path of teaching and service to others by continuing her education at Mount Saint Clair, preparing her for acceptance into the order of Sisters of Saint Francis September 1955. After fulfilling teaching assignments in Riverside, California, and Chicago, Illinois, she transitioned into private life and followed her passion for sharing her contagious love of life and others.

Teresa spent a great deal of time studying and reading French.  She also enjoyed watching the White Sox, playing piano and Bingo.

Those left to honor her memory include a sister-in-law, Rosalie (Mrs. Leo) Trimble; a former sister-in-law, Diane Trimble; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sister, a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m in the church with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Page officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Villa Nova.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Joesph Catholic School in DeWitt.
