Mrs. Teresa L. Jepsen, 95, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, died late Saturday morning, February 27, 2021, at Anamosa Care Center.
Mrs. Jepsen, the former Teresa Lorraine Crowley was born January 5, 1926, in Baldwin to George and Delia (Britt) Crowley. While working as a waitress, Teresa met Darrell Eugene Jepsen. They were married November 27, 1947. She worked at Nielsen Coupon Clearing House and Montgomery Ward. The couple resided in Clinton much of their married life where they raised their family. She and Darrell also managed the Travel Lodge Motel in Clinton and later North Platte, Nebraska, Her husband preceded her in death on February 27, 2003.
Teresa enjoyed movies, artwork, sewing, gardening, square dancing and socializing.
Surviving are her children, David Jepsen of Marion, Nancy Pawlik of Casper, Wyoming and Andrew (Cheryl) Jepsen of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren, Regina, Katie, David, Heather, Rebecca (Jeremy) and Wyatt; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernetta Stratman of California; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Teresa was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence “Ed” Crowley and sisters, Angela Davis and Evelyn Sargent.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2021. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, DeWitt with Sister Janet Heiar, SSND officiating.
