Tammy Jean Lindsay

Tammy Jean Lindsay, 48, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 15, 2021, at home.

Tammy was born November 12, 1972, to Joe and Helen (Loose) Lindsay, in DeWitt. She attended school in DeWitt. She had two beautiful children, Bryan and Kaley. Tammy enjoyed working as a C.N.A. until an aneurysm prevented her from going further into her career.

Tammy’s (Meme, as they knew her) greatest joy was her two granddaughters. She loved doing arts and crafts with them, and spoiling them with candy and ice cream.

She is survived by her daughter, Kaley (James) Spitzer of Davenport; her beloved granddaughters, Izabella and Sophia; her mother, Helen Lindsay of DeWitt, her father, Joe (Edy) Lindsay of Maquoketa; her sister, Shawn (Scott) Taylor of Maquoketa; nieces, Hannah and Alisha Kilburg; step siblings, Dennis (Jennie) Colwell, and Elisha Colwell; and many other extended family members.

She was welcomed into heaven by her son, Bryan Gregorich.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
