Steven Shawn “Steve” Trafford, 51, of Calamus, Iowa, died Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Green County, Missouri.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Memorial Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the service time.
Steve was born February 10, 1974, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Gary Dean Trafford and Wanda Ethel (Moeller) Trafford. He grew up in Eastern Iowa and graduated from Central DeWitt High School and Hamilton Tech. On June 5, 2010, he was united in marriage to Ashlee Renee Edens. Steve worked for many years as a service technician with Reliable Communications.
Steve loved motorcycles, helping people, and making them laugh. He enjoyed doing magic tricks and spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed handing out challenge coins to veterans as a way of honoring their service.
Steve is survived by his wife, Ashlee, of Calamus; his parents, Gary and Wanda Trafford; sisters, Becky (Scott) Kirby and Michele (JJ) Gruntorad; and 8 nieces and nephews, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peggy and Victor Trafford and Arlene and Daniel Wayne Moeller, and his uncle, Lee Trafford.
Memorials may be made to the Veterans Outreach Center in Davenport.
