Stephen York Obituary

Stephen Ray "Steve" York of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Thursday morning, January 16, 2020, at home.

He was born November 25, 1961, to the late William Hugh and Wanda Mae (Fraikes) York in Silvis, Illinois, and attended United Township High School. Steve held various factory jobs and drove truck during his working career. He loved working in a factory driving fork lift.

Steve loved spending time with his family, playing games, watching old westerns, assisting with his nephew John's baseball team and watching his nephew, David race and driving the tow truck at the East Moline Speedway.

Surviving are his children, Andy Bush of East Moline, Brandi Griffin of Davenport, Stephanie (Nathan) Gardner of Moline, Russell (Chelsea) Hennings of San Diego, California, Ryan Roberson of Grand Mound and Cory (Kayla) York of Davenport; 21 grandchildren and a great-grandson; siblings, Dee (Jim) Nelson of Silvis, Chuck (Laurie) York of East Moline, Illinois, Brenda (Butch) Dooley of North Carolina.

A private family service will be held.
