Shirley Jeanne Ferguson

Shirley Hastings Ferguson, 91, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Wheatland Manor.  

Shirley Jeanne Hastings was born June 5, 1932, in a country home east of DeWitt, to Gene and Alcinda (Moldenschardt) Hastings.

Shirley led a very interesting life and would do it all over again if given the choice. God was good, as were family, friends, and even enemies.

She is survived by her sons, Phillip (Sue) Ferguson, Alan (Susie) Ferguson, and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, and daughter, Rhea McMahon.

Shirley is joyfully reunited with her mother and daughter. In lieu of flowers, kindly remember her by giving to Faith Lutheran Church in Calamus.
