Sherry Marlowe Obituary

Sherry Marlowe, 76, of Le Claire, Iowa, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 6, 2024, in her home. 

Sherry Lee Marlowe was born March 28, 1948, in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Marcella (Graham) Creps. She graduated Eldora High School in 1966 and then received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa. On June 6, 1970, Sherry was united in marriage to Bruce Andrew Marlowe in Eldora. The couple resided in Clinton, and later DeWitt. Bruce preceded her in death in 2006.

Sherry was a loving mother to three children, each her favorite. She enjoyed playing water volleyball at the Hart Center, going to coffee with friends (where she never drank coffee), and playing with several card clubs. Sherry loved spending time with her grandchildren in Arizona, and traveling the world.

She is survived by her two daughters Dr. Megan (Joshua) Baker of Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Andrea (Bryant Carter) Marlowe of Baltimore, Maryland; one son, Michael Marlowe of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Caden, Alayna, and Cassie Baker; and a brother, Charles (Roberta) Creps.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, at the funeral home, the Rev. Jeff Bixby officiating. Private family burial will be in Eldora Cemetery, Eldora, Iowa.
