Scott Dwain Galloway was born May 7, 1967, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. At the age of 4 ½ months, he became the long awaited, beloved son of Dwain and Carol (Dammerman) Galloway. Skid grew up in Wheatland, Iowa, where he graduated from high school in 1985. He enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he briefly served before being medically discharged. Skid then went to Arizona, where he received technical training from the Phoenix Institute of Technology, and worked for some time in construction. After returning to Iowa, Skid worked in trucking, construction, and most recently operating Galloway Autoworx.

Skid loved golfing, his Harley, racing dirt bikes, his annual fishing trip at Pine Point with his family and friends. Skid had his own fishing pond at his home and loved it when friends would bring their youngsters to fish. He spent many fun hours with his racing buddies circling the pond on his racing track. He loved the time spent in his shop with his buddies.

Surviving are his mother, Carol Galloway of DeWitt; his sister, Wendi Galloway (James Henderkott) of Eldridge; his sons, Brandon (Teryn) Galloway of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jakob Galloway of DeWitt; his new grandson, Hayes Porter Galloway of Colorado Springs; his special nephew and buddy, Sam Henningsen;  step-children, Justin (Britny) Knight, Amanda (Robert) Sievers; grandchildren Aubrey Knight, Alexendria, Avery, and Henry Sievers; a special friend, Amy Hampton; many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his “shop foreman,” Jaxon, his beloved lab.
