Ronald Eugene Dohrmann

Ronald Eugene Dohrmann, 74 of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.

Ron was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, on November 22, 1947, the son of Robert and Isabelle (Roth) Dohrmann. He graduated from West High School in Davenport in 1966. Ron served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He started working at various jobs at a young age and retired from Iowa American Water as District Supervisor after 36 years.

He married Sally Goettsch in 1967, and they later divorced. He married Carol Seifert in 1978. Ron loved and was loved by his children and grandchildren. They were his greatest joy. He could also be found golfing with "the old farts" at Wapsi Oaks or with his favorite foursome at Glenn's Creek. He also liked fishing at Crystal Lake with Larry, and at lake Barkley in Tennessee with Dave.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children and grandchildren, Chad (Robin) Dohrmann, Cody and Mitchell; Michael (Lisa) Lawson, Tucker (Jess) and Haley; and Jennifer (Scott) Bower; and Natalie; also nieces and nephews.

He was preceded to heaven by his parents and Pop; his sister Donna, brother-in-law Bruce, brother Jerry, and grandson Nicholas Lawson.
