Richard P. Reiman, 79, of Grand Mound, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 20, 2026, at his home.
Richard P. Reiman was born September 6, 1946, in Davenport, Iowa, to Joseph and Delphine (Mougin) Reiman. He grew up in Davenport, where he graduated from Assumption High School in 1965. Richard’s first wife, Linda passed away in childbirth with their daughter, Karen Christine. He later married Sharon Quinn, with whom he had a daughter Tessa. They later divorced. He then married Linda Bryan, with whom he had a daughter, Vicky. Linda preceded him in death on February 10, 2013. Richard worked as a mechanic his whole life, holding many positions at various companies and freelancing. He moved to Grand Mound in 1975, where he resided until the present. Richard enjoyed his solitary life on the farm, with the cats to keep him company.
Surviving are his daughters, Tessa Ontiveros of New Mexico, and Vicky Reiman of Muscatine; 4 grandchildren, Thomas Ontiveros, Samantha (Chris) Vrba, Alexis Petkunas, and Anthony Petkunas; 2 great-grandchildren, James and Zoey Vrba; a sister, Jo Ann Andrews; 3 nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, DeWitt.
