Randall V. Juhl, 67, of Grand Mound, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, September 23, 2021.
Randy was born January 24, 1954, to Virgil and Ruth (Dirgo) Juhl in Audubon, Iowa. He graduated from Harlan Community Schools and attended Scott Community College for technical training in solar power. He married Marilyn Frances Burke on April 12, 1980. They were blessed with 2 sons, John and Will. He was later married to Christine Nelson. Randy worked as a Union Local 150 heavy equipment operator until retirement.
Randy had many talents and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including painting, writing poetry, golfing, playing pool, and collecting. He was known for his poignant letters to the editor and sharing his thoughts on many a topic.
He is survived by his son, John of Grand Mound; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Juuns of Iowa City; grandchildren, Moss and Cleo Juuns; siblings, Judy Davison-Larsen of Matherville, Illinois, Dennis (Judy) Juhl of Roland, Dawn Juhl of Harlan; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, William Robert Juhl Juuns, and step-father, Albert Hansen.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Grand Mound Community Center from 4:00 p.m. until the Keg runs out.
