Mary Kay Rossmiller, 66, of Calamus, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by family, following an extended illness.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Mary Kay was born July 5, 1959, in Clinton, Iowa, to Ralph and Ellenor (Mangan) Kroymann. She grew up in Welton, Iowa, where her family owned the feed store. Mary Kay graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt and went on to receive her Nursing Degree from Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing. She married Terry Rossmiller on June 23, 1989, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Davenport. The couple resided in LeClaire, where they raised their two children. They retired to Calamus in 2024 to be near her family. Mary Kay worked as nurse for over 40 years, primarily in the ER at St. Luke’s in Davenport (now MercyOne Genesis-East). A devoted nurse throughout her life, Mary Kay continued her care for others through the gift of organ donation.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; her children, Hannah (Kyle) Dalton of Calamus, and Alex Rossmiller of LeClaire; four grandchildren, Kane, Brody, Easton, and Sophia; sisters, Jean Olson, Ruth (Jerry) Irwin, Marcia (Pat) McCoy, and Lori (Danny) Hall; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a niece, Angie Reemtsma, and brother-in-law, Harry Olson, and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Becky” Dolan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
