Margaret Arey

Margaret C. Arey, age 94, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Margaret was born on December 18, 1931, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Harold George and Bernadine (Carr) George. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Mary Kanneberg. She was united in marriage to Robert Arey, who preceded her in death. 

She is survived by her children, Steven Arey (Ronna), Jan Arey Drury (Mark), Kim Arey LaCombe (Lee), Sandy Bailey (Kevin), and Tom Arey (Korri); 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Muller.

In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Cynthia, and her grandsons, Chad Miller and Torrey Arey.

In keeping with her wishes, private family burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
