Linda Marie Schoening

Linda Schoening, 63, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in her home.

Linda was born March 7, 1960, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Vincent and Regina (Vens) Hahn. She graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt in 1978. Linda married Mark Schoening on August 8, 1981, at Sts Philip & James Catholic Church in Grand Mound.

Linda was known for her talent as an interior decorator. She used her skills to enhance the beauty and aesthetics of many people's homes, leaving a lasting impact on the spaces she transformed.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Mark; her son, Mitch (Christine) Schoening of DeWitt; a sister, Barb McReynolds of Castle Pines, Colorado, and brother, David Hahn of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; nieces, Megan McReynolds, Mo McReynolds, Kristina Finley, and Danielle Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her children, Drew and Dena Schoening, her parents, and a brother-in-law, Rob McReynolds.

A Private Committal Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound, at a later date.
