Linda Goodman, 81, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A graveside service will follow at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Linda Faye Meggers was born September 14, 1944, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Florence (Lee) Meggers. She graduated from high school in DeWitt. Linda was blessed with two sons, James and Jan Visage. She married Art Goodman, and they later divorced. Linda spent more than 20 happy years with Don Vance, residing in Portage, Indiana. Following Don’s passing, Linda returned to Iowa to be close to her sons.
Linda loved dancing and music, she and Don attended dances every Friday for many years. She was an artist, skilled at drawing portraits. Linda liked working in the garden, doing yardwork, planting flowers, and painting all the rooms in the house. She enjoyed family gatherings and going to class reunions where she could see longtime best friends. More than anything, she cherished the time she had with Don.
Surviving are her sons, James (Karen) Visage of Davenport, Iowa, and Jan Visage of Davenport; grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, and Korey, Mitchall, and Breaunna; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Brammerlo; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her boyfriend, Don, a granddaughter, Jamie, and siblings, Harold (Sara) Meggers, and Donald Meggers, Gary Meggers, and brother-in-law, Lawrence Brammerlo.
