Leon Goldensoph, 63, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at MercyOne Genesis-East in Davenport, following a 5 year battle with liver disease.
Leon Lawrence Goldensoph was born May 9, 1962, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Lawrence and Thelma (Ehlers) Goldensoph. Leon grew up in Low Moor, and graduated from Central Community Schools in DeWitt. Leon moved to Clinton in 1980, where he worked for Skyline until retiring in 2020.
Leon was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing and riding his bike everywhere. Leon had a generous spirit, and selflessly chose to help others live on through organ and tissue donation.
He will be missed by his siblings, Cindy Mitchell of Clinton, Paula Carter of Clinton, Polly (James) Layne of Clinton, James (Deb) Goldensoph of Clinton, and Thomas (Ileen) Goldensoph of Low Moor; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Tamika, Sarah, Amanda, Nicole, Ashley, Nick, Lymus, Robin, and E.J.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Megan, Katelyn, Ryan, Maverick, Miles, Nola, Tray, Kaylee, Jayla, Kinsley, Kane, and Kasey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Odis Carter, and his grandparents.
The family will host a Celebration of Life from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Moose Lodge in Clinton.
