Larry Goettsch, 87, of Eldridge, Iowa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Genesis Medical Center-East in Davenport.
Larry Orey Goettsch was born June 23, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Orey and Hattie (Stoltenberg) Goettsch. He graduated from Davenport High School, class of 1957. Larry was united in marriage to Janet Lineburg on February 8, 1964, in Tempe, Arizona. The couple resided in Eldridge where they farmed and raised two children. In addition to farming, he worked for Farmall, Les Jones Implement, and the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Larry loved farming, fishing, dancing, and antique Farmall tractors. He was a member of the Scott County Pork and Beef Producers, Deere Valley Collectors Club, and Red Power Tractor Club.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet; his children, Glen (Colette) Goettsch of Davenport, and Tina (Mike) Hasselbusch of Metamora, Illinois; grandchildren, Zach (Britnee) Cain, Nathan (Stephanie) Goettsch, Emily (John) Mangold, and Olivia (Cody) Bonnell; great-grandchildren, Harper, Emersyn, Daniel, Everly, and Sadie Kate; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Gordon (Arlene), and Robert (Janet).
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
