LaRaine (Busch) Mumm

LaRaine (Mrs. Dennis) Mumm, 76, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2020, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.

Dorothy LaRaine Busch was born July 13, 1943, in Maquoketa to Vernie and Dorothy (Andresen) Busch. She married Dennis Mumm, September 28, 1963, in Lost Nation.  The couple resided in DeWitt where they raised their family.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church, DeWitt; Past Worthy Matron of Golden Star Chapter 283, DeWitt; Mother Advisor of DeWitt Assembly of Rainbow Girls and one of the founding members of  New Hope Support Group.  LaRaine retired from Iowa Mutual in 2001, after 35 years of service.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Dennis; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michelle Mumm of DeWitt; her grandchildren, Allen Mumm and Devin Mumm and many others who claimed her as "Grandma Raine or Buschy"; siblings, Alan (Julie) Busch of Clinton, Cheryl Koenes of Camanche and Karen (Kenneth) Fanderclai of Fulton, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Rodney Wold of DeWitt and sisters-in-law, JoAnne Busch of Caldwell, Idaho, Jeanette (Steven) Nantz of Davenport and Theresa Mumm of Omaha, Nebraska and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding LaRaine in death were her parents; her son, Brian Mumm; siblings, an infant brother, Dennis Busch, Larry Busch, Diane Wold and Donald Busch and her brother-in-law, John Mumm.

A private family service will be held with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.  A Memorial Service will be held at the United Methodist Church, DeWitt with date and time to be announced.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the family.

Pallbearers will be Jason Nantz, Jim Clark, Scott Wainwright and Mike Kuehl.
