Kyle Lance Ritz

Kyle L. Ritz, 55, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Sunday morning, March 7, 2021, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Kyle Lance Ritz was born April 15, 1965, in Bloomfield to Charles Everett and Janice Carol (Sparks) Ritz.  He was a graduate of Muscatine High School.  Kyle married Denise Solomon March 22, 1986, in Muscatine.  He was employed by Riverstone Group for 31 years.

He enjoyed camping, fishing and making firewood.  

Surviving are his wife, Denise; children, Mindy (Charlie) Brunson of Clinton, Casey (fiancee, Kayleigh Orcutt) Ritz, Tyler Ritz and Dekari Ritz all of DeWitt; grandsons, Kinnik Brunson and Kyson Brunson; his father, Charles Ritz of Muscatine; siblings, Sherry (Dan) Dittilio of New York, Kim (Dave) Pitton of Oklahoma, Kerry (Diane) Ritz of Blue Grass, Kelly (Donna) Ritz of Muscatine; nieces and nephews.

Kyle was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021.  A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt and may be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/schultzfuneralhomes/live.  Pastor Jeff Niles will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Dave Lorentzen, Randy Strodtman, Ross Hendriks, Taylor Maynard, Jim Layne and Dan Davis.  Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ridgeway, Nick Carter and E.J. Layne.
