Kelly Marie LaMaack, 56, of Calamus, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at her brother’s home in Sugar Creek.
Kelly was born on September 22, 1966, to Jerome and Carol Skoff Reuter in Maquoketa. She graduated from Northeast High School in Goose Lake in 1985. She married Brent LaMaack, with whom she had two children. Kelly worked for many years as a shift manager at Hardee’s.
She was a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church in Grand Mound, where she taught C.C.D. classes. Kelly enjoyed gardening, baking, crafting, being with her family, and spoiling her nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her goodie bags, her helpful and generous nature, and her infectious laugh.
She is survived by her children, Hunter LaMaack, and Maggie LaMaack, both of Calamus; her parents, Jerome and Carol of Charlotte; siblings, Karla (Mike) Winkler of Goose Lake, Marlene (Kenny) Assenmacher of Charlotte, Sherri (Keith) Bormann of Preston, and Kevin (Sue) Reuter of Preston; 9 nieces and nephews, and 12 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her great-niece, Adaline, and her childrens’ father, Brent.

A Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
