Jim “Bandana” Springsteen, 68, of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away peacefully January 12, 2025, in the comfort of his home.
James Walter Springsteen Jr. was born June 25, 1956, in Davenport, Iowa, to James Springsteen Sr. and Donna (Dolquist) Springsteen. He attended Bettendorf High School, later receiving his GED. Jim worked as a diesel mechanic, servicing semis all over Minnesota and Iowa for over 20 years. He married Christina Mickelson on February 17, 2000, in Rock Island. The couple later settled in Kewanee. Jim enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles
He is survived by his wife, Tina; sons, Anthony and Shandon; grandchildren, T.J., Ty, Tim, Ayla, and Anastasia; siblings, Chuck, Donald, Joe, and Michael Springsteen, and Tina Bair; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant daughter, Teena.
In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
