Jane Ann Mumm

Jane Mumm, 72, of McCausland, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society Care Home in Indianola, Iowa.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in McCausland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McCausland United Methodist Church.

Jane Ann Hill was born June 25, 1952, in Morrison, Illinois, to Leamon D. and Mary Nelle (Satterfield) Hill. After graduating from Prophetstown High School in 1970, she worked as a dispatcher at the Rock Island Arsenal, where she met Richard Mumm. They married on September 11, 1976. The couple resided in rural McCausland, where they farmed and raised 2 sons.

Jane was an active member of the McCausland United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed participating in the UMW, singing in the choir, and serving as church treasurer for many years. She loved being part of a large family, and their frequent gatherings.

Surviving are her sons, Adam (Andrea), and Mark (Amanda) Mumm, both of Des Moines; grandchildren, Audrey and Abigail; her sisters, Sue Galambos and Mari Liter; nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
