Jane Ann Lichtenstein

Mrs. Jane A. Lichtenstein, 72, of Grand Mound, Iowa, died late Monday, August 1, 2022, at UnityPoint Health in Bettendorf.

Mrs. Lichtenstein, the former Jane Ann Lloyd was born November 2, 1949, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Milton and Marcella Lloyd.  On August 15, 1981, Jane married Terry Esbaum in Durant.  They shared 15 years of marriage until his death on October 15, 1996.  On February 17, 2001, Jane married Alan Lichtenstein in Eldridge. The couple resided in Durant before moving to Grand Mound.  She was an English teacher in Durant before focusing on school board work at the local and state level.

The joy of her life was her family and teaching others.  She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and camping with her husband.  In retirement, Jane loved tending to her landscaping and created a beautiful yard of trees and flowers on the farm in Grand Mound. 

Surviving is her brother, Tom Lloyd; her sons, Jamey Olsen, Jeremy (Maria) Olsen, Paul (Jaime Steinbeck) Lichtenstein, and daughter, Paula (Todd) Rogers; her grandchildren, Ellie Olsen, Jacob Rogers, Robbie Olsen, Carver Johnson, Ava Lichtenstein, Jorja Lichtenstein, and Avery Grace Rogers; honorary grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jaxon, and Colton; and honorary family friends, Tobe and Dave Ringen.

Preceding Jane in death were her parents and her late husband, Terry.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service time of 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound with Pastor Denise Anderberg officiating.
