Hilda (Oldsen) Feddersen was born on May 6, 1930, in Grand Mound, daughter of John and Laura (Andersen) Oldsen. They farmed by Long Grove, where Roger, Karen and Alan were born, then moved to a farm south of DeWitt where they were blessed with Linda. There they raised their family and later retired from farming and moved to Maquoketa in 1981.
Hilda enjoyed helping Bob and also enjoyed sewing for family and friends and liked crocheting to relax. Hilda and Bob enjoyed grandson Andy who stayed with them for two summers while in college. They also enjoyed taking bus tours and going to stock car races. She dearly loved her husband, Bob, who passed away on June 25, 2004. Hilda also loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and helped them when needed. She enjoyed her frequent summer trips when she took the Amtrak train to Denver Colorado to visit Alan.
