Harold “Junior” was born February 19, 1945, to Harold and Lillian (Mohr) Wilson in Davenport, Iowa. He grew up in the Welton area after his parents died, being raised by his grandparents, Peter and Dorothea (Mecklenberg) Mohr and uncles Vernon and Leroy Mohr. He graduated from Central Community Schools, DeWitt, in 1964. During his senior year, he met the love of his life, Ruth Burrichter of Lost Nation, and they were married July 26, 1970, at Union Presbyterian Church in Lost Nation. To this union, two sons were born, Mark Allan and Timothy Paul. Harold was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. In their early married years, Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping with his family. After the boys had grown and married, he became more of a gardener and was proud of his garden produce. He helped Ruth can tomatoes, make salsa, beet pickles, and freeze vegetables. Harold was most proud of his family, and enjoyed many vacations and celebrations with them.

After working several years at Kroymann Feed in Welton and Wilson Meat Packing plant in Cedar Rapids, he began a career at Caterpillar in Mt. Joy. When the plant closed in 1989, he helped establish MetalTech Manufacturing in Clinton, retiring in 2011.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, his father- and mother-in-law, Paul and Pauline Burrichter, and his sister-in-law, Dottie Burrichter.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth; sons, Mark (Susan) of Indianola, and Tim (Katie) of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany), Rebekah, Matthew, Paul (Rachael), Kyle and Emily; great-grandchildren, Adrian, Jace, Nora, Ruben, and Anna.
