Gordon Ewoldt, 68, of Wheatland, Iowa, died unexpectedly in his home, Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Gordon Alvin Ewoldt was born May 3, 1957, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Orrie and Rose (Witt) Ewoldt. He graduated from Wheatland High School, and worked for Kohrs Cold Storage for several years until they closed. Gordon then attended Scott Community College, completing certification as a diesel mechanic. He worked as a mechanic for Trism Trucking until the business left the area. Gordon then began farming with his brother, Steve, which he did until the present.
He is survived by his siblings, Jerry (Patti) Ewoldt of Donahue, Betty Henson of Champion, Missouri, Bruce (Ruthie) Ewoldt of Toronto, Iowa, Steve Ewoldt of Wheatland, and Sharon Taylor Fayetteville, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Cindy Ewoldt; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Ronald Ewoldt and Roger (Diane) Ewoldt.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, from 9:00 a.m. until the service time of 11:00 a.m., Pastor Curt Girod Officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Toronto, Iowa.
