Frank B. Green, 88 of Ft Myers, Florida, formerly of Grand Mound, Iowa, died Monday evening March 14, 2022, at Hope Hospice in Ft. Meyers.
Frank Bernard Green was born to the late Bernard and Susanna (Dunn Kain) Green May 5, 1933, in Clinton, Iowa. He was raised in Grand Mound and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Frank Worked as a painter, did some truck hauling and owned and managed a trailer park in Ft. Meyers. He married Dora Elaine Baker June 1, 1957, and later married Dora Elizabeth Scritchfield on June 2, 1971. Time spent with family was very important to Frank and he looked forward to his annual visits to Grand Mound every summer to be with them.
Surviving are his children Jesse B. Green of Clarence, Iowa and Sheila J. Powelka (John) of Ashland, Virginia; sister Grace Kinney of Grand Mound, twin sister Frances Burke of Dewitt, Iowa, Sister Ida Mae Green, OSF of Tinley Park, Illinois; He is also survived by the following stepchildren, Everett, Ronald, Nancy, Judy, and Linda.
Preceding him death were a granddaughter Ashlee M. Powelka, brothers Joe Green, Howard Green, Harold Green, half-brother Leo Green, his first wife Dora Elaine Green (Behrend), and second wife Dora Elizabeth Green.
The Family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz's Funeral Home in Grand Mound from 2:00 until 5:00p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, Grand Mound, the Rev. Fr. Stephen Page officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound.
