Donna Jean Maynard

Donna J. Maynard, 86, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home, Kurt Sager officiating. Burial following in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Donna Jean Rowson was born March 11, 1939, to the late Raymond and Alma (Grimm) Rowson. Donna was a 1957 graduate of Elvira High School. On August 23, 1958, Donna married John “Jack” Maynard at the First Congregational Church in DeWitt. Jack preceded her in death on September 25, 2022. Donna enjoyed camping, fishing, dancing, cards, playing music, crocheting, crypto-quotes, most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Surviving is her son, John (Mandy) Maynard of DeWitt; grandchildren, Whitney (Matt) Fleming, Wyatt (Chelsey) Knapper, and Taylor (Tamika) Maynard; great-grandchildren, Austin, Adrienne, Peyton, Ivy, Brooks, Brynlee, and Nola; a brother, Robert (Patricia) Rowson; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Roger Rowson, and her great-granddaughter, Zayla Maynard.

Pallbearers will be great-grandchildren, Austin, Adrienne, and Peyton Kinrade, and nephews, Cody Schulz, Levi Levsen, and Todd Brommelkamp. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren, Zayla, Ivy, Brooks, Brynlee, Nola...
