Donna Evans

Donna Evans, 89, of DeWitt died unexpectedly, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center-East in Davenport.

Donna Rannals was born March 18, 1934, in Maquoketa, Iowa, to John Henry and Bernice Catherine (McDonald) Rannals. She graduated from Steinmetz Academic Center in Chicago, Illinois. Donna married Lloyd “Bud” Evans on February 27, 1954, in Rock Island, Illinois. The couple resided in DeWitt. Bud preceded her in death on July 15, 2010.

She enjoyed scrapbooking, bowling, and playing cards with her partner, Perley. She was a member of the American Bunka Association.

Surviving are her daughters, Laura (Richard) Cole of Central Florida, and Jarryl “Jan” McCrae of Riverview, Florida, son Lloyd Evans of Anchorage, Alaska; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Delores Miller; many other extended family members; and her loving companion Perley Canaan of DeWitt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd “Bud”, brother Dwain Rannals, sisters Maxine Orsinger, and Annimae Johnson.

No visitation or service will be held. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park.
