Donna Maria Bodie

Donna Bodie, 53, of Bettendorf, Iowa, formerly of Grant Park, Illinois, passed away January 28, 2020.

Donna was born August 4, 1966, in Evergreen Park, Illinois, to Raymond and Barbara (Sieh) Mitchell. She graduated from Oak Forest High School and later Bryman Institute as a medical assistant. She married Patrick Bodie in 1989, and was blessed with two daughters, Maegan and Shelby.

Donna loved planting flowers, gardening, swimming and sunbathing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, caregiver and friend. She greatly enjoyed shopping, going on trips, motorcycle riding, and just generally having fun. Donna was an outgoing person and made friends easily. She very much enjoyed The Fellowship. She especially adored her granddaughter, Vivian.

She is survived by her daughters, Maegan Bodie and Shelby Bodie of Lake Village, Indiana; a granddaughter, Vivian BiJak of Chicago Heights, Illinois; sisters, Brenda (Keith “Gus”) Gustafson of DeWitt, Iowa, and Sherri (John) Dort of Wilmette, Illinois; nephews, Griffin and Conor Dort.

A funeral mass and memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. February 22, 2020, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 119 Market St, Momence, IL 60954 on February 22, 2020, Fr. Peter Jankowski officiating. A light lunch will follow.
