Donald Delever, 79, of Calamus, Iowa, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center-East in Davenport.
Donald Leo Delever was born November 21, 1945, to Harry and Marie (VandeVoorde) Delever of New Liberty, Iowa. He married Joanne Hein on September 11, 1965. The couple settled in Calamus in 1976. Don worked at J.I. Case in Bettendorf until their closing, transferring to Case I.H. in East Moline, where he retired in 1998, after 30 years.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golf.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne; children, Michele Carle, and Mark Delever, both of Calamus; grandchildren, Damian Noble, Jr., Ciara Delever, Kailey Hamdorf, William Delever, and Marlie Delever; great-grandchildren, Michael, Evalynn, and Carter; a sister, Mary Louise Meyer, of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Diane Delever; nieces and nephews.
He is welcomed into the next life by his parents, brothers, Harry Jr., Albert, and David, and brother-in-law, Bill Meyer.
