Delbert Dwight Paysen

Delbert Dwight Paysen, 82, of De Witt, Iowa, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020, in his home.

Delbert was born August 11, 1938, to Harold and Cleona (Burgess) Paysen in Clinton County, Iowa. He graduated from De Witt High School. He was married to Rachel McCloy, they had 5 children. He farmed his whole life.

He loved going to farm sales, livestock sales, and auctions of all sorts. He enjoyed, country music, dancing, fishing, and socializing. His family and farming meant the world to him.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Janet) of Clinton, Peggy Nightingale of Jackson Co., Rodney (Deb) of De Witt, Bill of De Witt, and Melissa Adams of Colorado; grandchildren Adam, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Nicole, Clay Jr., Cory, Destiny, Spencer, Justin, Kristin, Brooke, and Tayla; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard (Bernice) Paysen of Elvira; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Butch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, April, 2 brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time of 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. The Rev. Fr. Stephen Page officiating.
