Dave Paul, 80, of Wheatland, Iowa, formerly of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2025, at home.
David Bernard Paul was born November 15, 1944, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Bernard and Marian (Dowell) Paul. He attended Moline Schools and graduated from Moline High School in 1962. Dave served in the U.S. Army, earning Para-Trooper wings and a Green Baret. He worked in the Entertainment Business for more than 25 years as a singer and a drummer and was well known locally and on the road. Dave loved baseball, hunting and fishing, and especially loved the Rock River. He was a lifelong student of Native American History and Culture and belonged to the Native American Coalition of the Quad Cities.
He is survived by his two sons, Billy and Andy (Amber); three granddaughters, Skyla Paul, Katelyn (Andrew) Paul-Hesse, and Andrea Paul; and three great-grandchildren, Naomie, Oliver, and Zeppelin.
Following cremation, Dave’s family will hold a private service to honor his life.
