Camilla Wulf Obituary

Camilla (Mrs. Gordon) Wulf, 91, formerly of Calamus, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, November 9, 2021, at Community Care Center, Stuart, Iowa.

Mrs. Wulf, the formerly Camilla Opal Easton was born March 31, 1930, at home in rural Clinton County to the late Loyal and Opal (Lockwood) Easton. She was a graduate of Calamus High School.  Camilla married Gordon Allen Wulf January 30, 1949, in Calamus.  The couple resided at various places in Central Iowa prior to moving to the family farm to begin farming in 1976.  Gordon preceded Camilla in death September 9, 1997.

Camilla was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, candle maker, cosmetologist, farm wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She and Gordon had the most wonderful gardens, fruit trees and black raspberries.  Camilla loved traveling, especially trips with her sisters-in-law.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Surviving are children, Kathy (Jerry) Smuck of Greenfield, Iowa, Lydia (Jerry) Ireland of Wisconsin, Allen (Cheryl) Wulf of Mauston, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Anderson of Davenport and Lucille Schurbon of Lost Nation; nieces and nephews. 

Also preceding Camilla in death were a son, Roger and sisters, Marge Behne and Francis Seaton.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Union Presbyterian Church, Lost Nation from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021.  A service will be held at 12 noon Saturday in the church with the Rev. Denise Anderberg officiating.  Burial will be at Lost Nation Cemetery.   A luncheon will follow the cemetery service.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. 

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
