Bradley Anderson

Bradley  Anderson, 90, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, surrounded by family, in his home.

Bradley George Anderson was born August 3, 1935, in West Union, Iowa, the only child of George and Ruth (Christianson) Anderson. After graduating from Parkersburg High School, he received his BA from Iowa State Teachers College and later his MA from University of Northern Iowa. He taught in the Central DeWitt School System for over 35 years, retiring in 1994. Brad married Carol Brauer on November 16, 1963. They resided in DeWitt, raising two children.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Kelly (Marc) Thumann of DeWitt, and Mark (Stephanie) Anderson of Grimes; grandchildren, Jake Thumann, Gabby (Brody) Lloyd, Garrett Anderson, and Drew Anderson; great-grandchildren Georgette, Jasper, and Buck Lloyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. John Dolde officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.
