Bonnie M. Wiese

Bonnie M. (Boyer) Wiese, 70, formerly of Charlotte, Iowa, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.

She was born Wednesday, April 7, 1943, in Iowa City, Iowa. Bonnie was raised in Clinton, Iowa, and attended high school in Charlotte, Iowa. She worked at the Kettleson Dairy as a live-in nanny and helper before taking a position at the County Home in Charlotte, doing anything she could to be of service. She married Harry Wiese in 1966.

Bonnie was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte, before moving to Iowa City. She later settled in Florida where she cared for the elderly. Bonnie loved life, and giving care to others. She was once the recipient of a Golden Heart Award, given for her kindness and helpfulness toward others.

She is survived by and will be very sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Robert Gardiner of North Liberty, Iowa; her son, Wes Wiese of Charlotte, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Boyer and her former husband, Harry.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Harry Wiese Jr., and her son, Wade Wiese on July 3rd of this year.

Bonnie will be laid to rest at a private family service at Center Grove Cemetery at rural Bryant, Iowa.
