Bonnie Jean (Rock) Hansen, 78, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away peacefully Monday, January 26, 2026, at Fieldstone of DeWitt.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Grand Mound. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound.
Bonnie Jean Rock was born April 30, 1947, to Clarence and Ruth (Fellner) Rock in Clinton, Iowa. She grew up in rural Grand Mound and was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Bonnie graduated from Calamus Community School in 1965. She worked for Iowa Mutual until retirement, making countless friends. Bonnie married Tim Hansen September 9th, 1992 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa. He passed away September 29, 2023.
Bonnie was a lifelong Cubs and Hawkeye fan. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling the country with friends to see the Oak Ridge Boys in concert. Bonnie adored her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her brother, Stanley (Marjorie) Rock of Grand Mound, their children William (Katie) Rock of Des Moines, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Decker of North Liberty, and five great nieces and nephews, Ronan, Malcolm, and Angus Rock, and Natalia and Jacob Decker; a sister-in-law Mona (Carl) Clapp of Camanche and their family. She is also survived by several cousins, extended family members and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank her neighbors, Genesis first responders, doctors, and nurses, and the staff at Fieldstone.
